H/W tomato!
More bento making...a tad bit more experience. Tonight, I tried my hand at making maki. Great experience!

25th-Oct-2007 01:31 pm - Keylime Cheesecake
luna by heimweh26
1 pkg sugar free lime flavored gelatin
1/2 cup water

16 oz fat free cream cheese

12 oz key lime flavored fat free yogurt

1 cup fat free whipped dessert topping

1 reduced fat pre-made graham cracker crust

The How To:
Bring water to boil and add to gelatin, stirring until completely dissolved.
Beat cream cheese with electric mixer until smooth.
Blend in yogurt and dessert topping.
Then slowly pour in gelatin and continue beating until thoroughly blended.
Pour into premade crust and refrigerate until firm (about 3 hours).

Nutritional Information (Makes 8 Servings):
Calories: 222.3
Total Fat: 3.6 grams
Cholesterol: 10 milligrams
Carbs: 22.4 grams
Sugars: 13 grams
Protein: 13 grams

My thoughts: For a mock cheesecake this was incredibly good. It is certainly something I feel I could serve at a dinner party and be proud of. Second time around I will mix it for a longer time because I ended up having to mix it by hand. It didn't take the entire three hours to set but that time just sort of covers all the bases, in case your fridge isn't set as high as mine.

Side Note: Sorry about the picture. I didn't think about it before the entire household got a slice (or two).

As promised in my intro post, I will share my Bento Day 1 with you. I'm not sure on the exact nutritional information, but it's pretty healthy as far as food goes!

I bought a cute bento set that functions a lot like a Mr. or Ms. Bento set. You can't see the colors from this angle, but it's a lime green color. Next time, I'll take pictures of the set itself.

Hi! I'll post just a small introduction to help get things going.

I'm Sarah, your co-mod (although this whole comm was really hygher's idea!). I'm a vegetarian and enjoy eating, not so much 'healthy' as just non-processed foods. One of the dietary things I avoid these days is chemicals, MSG, high fructose corn syrup, and other processed flavorings, colorings, etc.

That aside, I do like to try to eat mostly healthily! But, I'm also an avid cook. I love to experiment in the kitchen. My latest interest is obento. My next post will be about my first bento box.

Enjoy the community!

I would like to take a moment and welcome you to wearewellfed . I hope this place becomes a successful community full of awesome healthy recipes and cooking tips.

I am personally here to delve into various methods of cooking and for the first time in my life I am trying to live a healthy lifestyle. That's not to say of course that I am going to spend my life running on a treadmill and eating celery. I live in the real world and enjoy it, now I am learning to do that by healthy means. That said, these are my attempts at eating healthy or eating  healthier versions of foods that usually aren't healthy ( in other words, not so terrible for you recipes). I almost entitled this Masterpieces and Mishaps but I didn't think that would make people want to read. I hope these recipes as well as the tales told are both entertaining and useful to all the future members of this community.  Please feel free to add your own questions, comments and recipes.

Side Note: If at all possible please post the nutritional info for your recipes.
